HSC Information Evening
On Wednesday 20 November Year 12 students and their parents/carers met in the hall to outline the road ahead for successful HSC completion. The HSC year makes heavy demands upon students and their parents/carers and has the potential to be stressful. Each individual student must develop his/her own style and approach to study and the challenges of the HSC.
Mrs Kenehan spoke about the role of the KHS Learning Centre with how to set achievable yet challenging goals for the coming year. Mr Scott outlined NESA rules and requirements as well as giving advice on maintaining sanity and health. Our guest parent speaker was Mrs Colleen Hooker, a mother whose youngest child has just graduated Kirrawee High, who gave fantastic advice and valuable insights to supporting your own child in the turbulent year of the HSC. Kirrawee High alumni Callum Weatherall presented as a guest speaker from Elevate Education on effective study skills.
The school believes that this evening is a vital part of our strategy to advantage Kirrawee High School students. We look forward to the year ahead and the mark that the class of 2020 will leave on Kirrawee High School.
