CHS State Athletics
The Combined High School Athletics Carnival was held last week over 3 days 4th-6th September at SOPAC. To compete at this carnival requires students to progress through carnivals at school, zone and region. Only the best athletes from all government schools across the state compete at this prestigious event. This event was live streamed for the first time and we excitedly watched our student compete while we were back at school.
Kirrawee High School was very well represented with 20 athletes (14 individual competitors and 2 relays).
Congratulations to all athletes for not only progressing through to this highest level but also on the amazing results achieved at the State Championships. As a school we had fantastic results with 4 athletes winning individual medals and many others making CHS finals.

Also thank you to Mr Hodson who worked as a High Jump official at the carnival for the three days. These events cannot run without teacher volunteers and Mr Hodson’s experience and expertise is always highly sort after at these state events.
Next event on the Athletics Program is the NSW All School Athletics Championships to held in the last week of this term Thursday – Sunday. Entries for this event are online and close on next Wednesday 11th September.
