Events and Excursions
Year 12 Investigating Science
Students will be participating in a mandatory incursion as part of the Year 12 Investigating Science Course – Module 6: Technologies. They will be engaged in activities relating to the following inquiry question: “How have developments in technology led to advances in scientific theories and laws that, in turn, drive the need for further developments in technology?” The Incursion will be run onsite at Kirrawee High School by staff from the Royal National Park Education Centre, who have expertise in this area. As such, there will be a cost of $3 per student. Students are to wear their full school uniform, including black leather shoes. They should bring a hat and sunscreen for any outdoor activities.
Year 10 Wet N Wild – Mathematics Excursion
Dear Parent/Carer, Year 10 students will be participating in an excursion to “Wet and Wild” on Friday 22 February 2019. The aim of this excursion is to provide students the opportunity to apply concepts covered in class to a practical real world environment.

Week 7, Term 1 2019 – 11 to 15 March
Year 10 History Excursion – Jewish Museum Sydney Darlinghurst
Year 10 History will be attending the Jewish Museum Sydney Darlinghurst. This will include a guided tour, lectures from survivors and academics. Students will have reccess approx 9:30 – 10:00am – no shops will be available and students will need to bring food and drinks for this break. Students will then travel by bus to San Souci McDonalds and KFC for lunch at approx 1:45pm. Alternatively they can bring their own food if not wanting to purchase here.
Year 10 Geography Observatory Hill Environmental Education Centre
Year 10 Georgraphy will be attending Observatory Hill Environmental Education Centre on Thursday 14 March. This will also include a walking tour of Observatory Hill, Millers Point and the Barangaroo Site. Students will be able to purchase food and drinks for recess and lunch around 10:30am, after which there will be no other access to shops for food.
Year 10 Commerce Excursion
A Commerce excursion has been arranged for Year 10 classes to Downing Centre District Court. This excursion will help students gain an understanding of the role and jurisdiction of courts in NSW.
