Year 9 Thinkers in Education – Incursion

The Science Department has organised an incursion for 36 Year 9 students.
A full day for students to develop a huge range of creative, critical and strategic thinking. Target Mars is a carefully structured blend of hands-on physics, chemistry and biology activities enthuses students to view science, engineering, teamwork and problem solving in a new light as pioneers of the future.
This specialist STEM activity day is game-like in style, pitting teams of students against one another in a race to have technology, skills and knowledge to Colonise Mars.
This is a program that was trialled by selective high schools in 2014 and has continued as part of their critical thinking program. More information can be found on the following website. Thinkers in Education
- Cost $31.00 per student full day activities
- When: Friday 15 November 2019
- Where: Kirrawee High School
- Students need to be in full school uniform, including appropriate footwear.
Last day for permission notes and payment is Monday 28th October 2019.
The first 36 students with payment and permission notes will be accepted as spaces are limited. There are no refunds for this incursion.
Students must make a genuine effort to catch up any school work missed as a result of attending this excursion.
This excursion is being conducted with the permission of the Principal.
