Merchant of Venice Incursion – POSTPONED

Aim/Reason for Incursion: Students who are studying Shakespeare’s ‘The Merchant of Venice’ for the HSC, are being given the opportunity to watch a production of the play, performed by NIDA. Students will gain a better understanding of how stagecraft can alter the way we interact with, and understand Shakespeare. NIDA actors will hold a Q&A session at the culmination of the production, which will allow students to further consolidate their understanding of a prescribed HSC ‘Human Experiences’ text.

Venue: Kirrawee High School Performance Space.

Transport: N/A

Time: 9:00am – 11:00am.

Cost: $0

Supervising Teachers: Barbara Alston and Jaclyn Rosenberger.

What to bring/Equipment Required: Notebooks and pens.

What to wear: School uniform.

Return to class instructions (if excursion is not for a whole day): Students will resume normal classes after recess.

Students must make a genuine effort to catch up any school work missed as a result of attending this excursion.
This excursion is being conducted with the permission of the Principal.
