Each of the days have been planned or will be planned by a pair of students who will guide us on the day and give a briefing the night before their allocated walk to explain where we will be going and what is expected to be seen, crossed and walked through.
The nature of this journey is an exploration that will allow students to look in-depth into the areas that we will be traversing throughout Tasmania. They will use maps, guide books and further research to formulate who is in charge of each day and what will be expected. A planning day for this will happen either at the end of Term 3, 2021 or early Term 4 2021.

The cost of the Adventurous Journeys is $1500.00, which includes transport (plane and private bus), accommodation, park entry fees and all meals. Students are invited to bring their own spending money if they wish to make any of their own purchases, keeping in mind that there will be limited time to peruse any souvenir places due to the nature of this trip.

Mr D Hunt and Ms C Thomson will be accompanying the students on this journey.

Students will need all items that they use on a normal Duke of Edinburgh adventurous journey except cooking stoves, tents and sleeping mats. Be mindful that we will be in an alpine environment and the weather conditions can be sunny and hot one minute and cold/windy with a side serve of snow the next. So all conditions must be catered for when out in the elements.

This excursion is being conducted with permission of the Principal.

PLEASE NOTE: This trip may be postponed at short notice due to the latest COVID-19 information (or otherwise). Contact will be via email in this case.
