Fashion is Cyclic
Year 11 Textiles and Design have been working hard on their first Preliminary assessment to design and produce a skirt inspired by a period in history. This year we had inspiration from 1800’s lace embellishments, 1920’s Flapper style, 1930’s pleats, 1970’s Mod and Hippie movements, through to the 1990’s Juicy Couture and Boho beach styles! Students modified commercial patterns and some even produced their own patterns. A partial folio of supporting documentation was submitted to support their learning. Congratulations girls, on some fine work as a starter for the stage 6 course!
